We can start with an initial free 30-minute telephone conversation. This gives us the chance to talk through what’s been going on for you, understand what you’d like to achieve, and see whether CBT feels like the right approach. It’s also an opportunity for you to ask any questions and get a sense of what it’s like to work with me.
If we both agree to move forward, we’ll arrange an assessment session where we’ll take a deeper look at your current difficulties, how they might be maintained, and how they are affecting your life. We’ll also start to identify the areas you’d like to change. This session, and any other subsequent sessions, can take place in person in my therapy garden room in the SL2 area, a peaceful space designed to help you feel at ease. Alternatively, I also offer online sessions via secure video call, giving you the flexibility to choose what works best for you
From there, we’ll agree on a treatment plan tailored to your needs.
Typical sessions are 50 minutes long.
Most people work with me for between 8 and 12 sessions.
In some cases, therapy may be shorter, or up to 20 weeks for more complex difficulties.
Sessions can be weekly or fortnightly, depending on your schedule and preferences.
My aim is to make the process collaborative, structured, and flexible — so it works for you.
